How To Access A Doctor - by consulation or telephone
The reception is open from 8.00 am until 6.30 pm Monday to Friday.

To make an appointment you can either call in personally or telephone 0115 961 4583
You will be offered the first available appointment with the doctor of your choice.
Urgent cases can be seen the same day by one of the doctors.  Please contact us before 9.00 am for urgent appointments if possible.  You may prefer to book an appointment a few days in advance.

At the surgery we will try to see you as near to your appointment time as possible, usually within 20 minutes.

You may book a ‘telephone consultation’ when you do not need to actually see the doctor, but would like to discuss your condition and ask questions, or to discuss the need for an urgent appointment.

How to Access a Nurse – by consultation or telephone
Nurse access is by pre-booked appointments or telephone consultation where appropriate.

Sick Children
Sick children will always been seen as soon as possible if brought to the surgery.  This is usually much quicker than a visit, and the surgery has much better facilities for assessing your child.  If in doubt about bringing your chid, please telephone the surgery for advice first.

Please help us to help you
Please let us know if you cannot keep an appointment so that it can be offered to someone else.

Missed appointments, or unreasonable requests for urgent appointments and home visits, make it difficult for us to provide a good service to all our patients.

In order to maintain a good service to our patients, if you do not attend 3 or more appointments at this surgery, without informing us that you wish to cancel your appointment, we reserve the right to cancel your registration.
We would always write to you to inform you of this.

Chaperones
It is the policy of this practice to respect privacy, dignity, cultural and religious beliefs of our patients.  If you feel you would like a chaperone present during a physical examination by a doctor or other health professional, let us know.
